Fasting cures Fasting cure according to Buchinger
Dr. med. Otto Buchinger (1878 - 1966), who himself was permanently cured of rheumatoid arthritis by fasting, had the "most powerful of all cures named after him, the Buchinger fasting cure. Fasting does not only mean weight reduction the indications:
Fasting as prevention: the reduction of risk factors (excess weight, high values of blood fat, cholesterin and uric acid, stress, diabetes mellitus type 2, high blood pressure, smoking).
Fasting as therapy: Cardio-vascular diseases, back and joint dysfunctions, illnesses of the digestive system, chronic liver diseases, general vitality, diverse illnesses (lack of resistance to infection, migraines and headaches, allergies, fertility disorders, menopausal disorders, premenstrual syndrome, fibromyalgia, glaucoma, acne).

Fasting has diverse effects on the state of mind and psyche.
During your fasting cure it is very natural to experience fasting crises such as sudden bouts of depression, weeping, or even physical symptoms like food cravings. Use the chance to recognize suppressed feelings and resolve these through articulation. We physicians, nurses and dieticians are always available for you. Please speak to us at any time!
From the third to fourth day on increased levels of the hormones that induce a feeling of well-being are secreted. Enjoy these euphoric feelings.
For optimal care, it is important that you report to the nurses at the very beginning of your fasting cure (room 159, internal telephone ext. 102).
